Pontiac, MI native DDG has dropped a new collaboration with Gunna. It’s a trap-inspired track about Elon Musk, and I’m sure there are some deeper layers to it that I’m missing but I really can’t make it past how dope the beat is. I mean, just listen to that 808!
I don’t know much about Elon Musk other than he’s a billionaire, he built a car in a cave, and he started the Hyperloop. So I had no idea what to expect when I saw that DDG had dropped a song just titled “Elon Musk.” The intro was definitely different for an DDG song: instead of being punchy and cutting with hard drums, it’s this slow build that starts with this mellow bassline. It reminds me of the intro of Migos’ “Slippery” but in reverse—it’s like the start of “Slippery” but slowed down and more futuristic.
I don’t know what else to say except I love it and you should bump it right now.
